Social and Events

What better way to end a day than to socialise with friends and family in the relaxed atmosphere of the Club lounge or the Shark bar. The bar opens at 4 p.m. each day and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic refreshments are served. Tea and coffee area available from the kitchenette opposite the bar. Unwind and take in the view and, if you are lucky, a stunning sunset.

Our Restaurant

The restaurant is open Thursday 5.30 p.m. – 7.30 p.m., and
Friday and Saturday evenings between 5.30 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Dine in and sample a mouth-watering steak, fresh fish or another delight from the restaurant menu. The menu changes from time to time.

Handle and Bangle Club

Come along on a Wednesday between 4.30 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. and join the Handle or Bangle Club.

Handle Club began with a group of male members gathering in the Shark Bar one evening per week, paying a small one-off fee and receiving their pints at a reduced rate for that night.

This group now has an offshoot — the Bangle Club — a network of women who meet in the lounge bar for drinks, but you don’t have to drink alcohol to join the fun and laughter. Many of these ladies are new to Foxton Beach, and some live alone. This weekly get-together is a great way to share and learn local information and find support when needed.

Member Functions

Our Social Club committee organises functions throughout the year for members, e.g. Melbourne Cup fun, St Patrick’s Day, evenings with music provided by a local band, dinners, breakfasts, Christmas and New Year functions and more.

Our facilities are also available for members to hire for private functions, e.g. family birthdays, anniversaries etc. If you are interested in booking an event, please contact the Manager, manager@mmbc.org.nz.

Venue Hire

Businesses and organisations from around our community, and sometimes further afield, hire the venue for mid-week functions or meetings. Food can be arranged to suit the occasion.

Please contact manager@mmbc.org.nz for bookings or enquiries
